SAN ANTONIO, Texas - September 10, 2008 - MDI, Inc. (NASDAQ: MDII), today announced that its LearnSafe® Initiative has been selected by the administration and board of trustees of Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District to provide closed circuit television and security devices and supplies, under an annual contract, on a district-wide scale. Cypress Fairbanks ISD (Cy-Fair) is located in Houston, TX, and is the third largest in the State encompassing 70 campuses, 11,797 employees, and over 92,000 students.
As part of the awarded contract, LearnSafe (MDI) will be an approved vendor until September 2009. Budgeted purchases, in any quantity and amount, can now made by district security personnel upon request, without the additional need for vendor quotes or school board approval.

Cy-Fair borders several of the States largest school districts, all located within the Region 4 Education Service Center including Katy ISD, Waller ISD, Tomball ISD, Klein ISD, Aldine ISD, Houston ISD and Spring Branch ISD.
